Are you feeling anxious about your life direction? Navigating a difficult relationship? Struggling to hold it all together? My goal is to understand your unique situation, and together we will work to uncover the sources of your distress and identify strategies to inspire the change you want to experience.
At times it can be hard to talk to those closest to you, and you may feel the need to process difficult situations or uncomfortable feelings with someone on the outside to get a fresh perspective.
As your therapist, I believe in creating a safe and judgement-free zone to speak your truth. My role is to be an objective listener, someone on the outside, who can help bring clarity and put things into perspective when you are feeling unsettled, overwhelmed, and stuck.
I believe in leveraging your strenghts and experiences in our work together. Using a collaborative approach, together we will uncover behavior and thinking patterns that might be getting in your way.
I don't believe in a one size fits all approach. My experiences working with and supervising individuals of various backgrounds, communication styles, and temperaments have given me a keen awareness that we are all built differently. I strive to understand how your life experiences have shaped you.
Together we will identify and/or build customized strategies that work best for you.
I bring to my practice years of experience working with diverse populations, promoting cultural awareness and inclusion, creating spaces for courageous conversations around race in the U.S., and working on grassroot and organizational initiatives to address systemic racism.
Through my own lived experiences as a South Asian American growing up with immigrant parents, I understand the impacts of racial trauma and the nuances of belonging, identity, overcoming stigma, and navigating family and cultural expectations.

I am a well rounded licensed clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of professional experience from being on the front line working directly with children and families in crisis to leading and managing others in organizational and community based settings. Having worked in various systems, I understand we do not operate in a vacuum. There are many external social, economic, and political forces at play that we need to navigate while also trying to get our own needs met.
Furthermore, my passion and work in social and racial justice spaces have equipped me with a deep understanding of the inequities that exist within systems and the impact it has on historically marginalized communities in the U.S., specifically.
